How much time will it take to become certified?
We prefer to look at quality vs speed when determining a classes pace. We have done classes in as little as one week to as long as 2 months. It greatly depends on your schedule and learning curve. Generally the academics take around 8-10 hours in a classroom environment and that is scheduled based off of your and our availability. Some homework depending on the course may also be assigned. You will be spending anywhere from 6-8 hours at minimum in the pool learning and refining your core skills. The 5 open water dives (4 SCUBA and 1 Skin Diving/Rescue Dive) will be done on two days. Usually SCUBA 1 and 2 along with Skin Diving/Rescue is completed on day one then the final SCUBA 3 and 4 are done on the last day. These can be back to back days or scheduled apart depending on your schedule. Please keep in mind that these are guidelines and may change during your course depending on class size and progression but do not feel any need to rush because our main goal is providing you with personalized quality education and we will often free of charge (to active students) provide extra tutoring if needed.Tags
